In collaboration with the Municipality of Nazareth, IPI supports the preparation of the Nomination of the Cult to Our Lady of Nazareth, namely the “Cultural and Religious Practices and Manifestations Evocative of Our Lady of Nazareth”, to the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, UNESCO (https://ich.unesco.org/).

A nomination which aims, first and foremost:

i. To strengthen the millennial history of building a faith and a place, a history and a devotion materialized in pilgrimages that fill centuries and cement our Christian identity.

ii. To promote the safeguarding of an important common and universal heritage, so that it is not lost and guaranteed its continuity through the paths of the Catholic faith of popular root.

iii. To foster the inter-relationship between the numerous places where the cult of Our Lady of Nazareth is celebrated, stimulating the feeling of community among all of them.
